Weed Control

What should I do now to prevent weeds this spring and summer ?

Non-Turf areas
For those non-turf areas, early spring (Mar-May) can be a good time to apply some pre-emergent control to prevent weeds from germinating.  A spring treatment is very important if no fall pre-emergent was done.

Industrial areas
March is an excellent window of time for season long control of vegetation where bare ground is desired.

Grasses in raspberries
Grasses in raspberries can be controlled during a specific time later this month. Watch for details.

Roundup
It is too early for roundup to be effective on weeds.  Roundup needs to have active foliage on the weeds to be effective.
